Director & Editor Bios

DGA Award-winning director Lynn Hamrick’s career spans many genres including narrative feature films, documentary, network, cable television, and theatre. She received a BA (cum laude) in Theatre Arts and an MFA in film from UCLA. Her documentary credits include the recently released award-winning feature, Hiro’s Table, Chess Kids and Chess Kids Special Edition. Her feature film credits include Finding Kelly and Splitsville, selected television credits include Family Ties, Baby-Sitter’s Club (Cable Ace nomination) and Silk Stalkings. She is currently in pre-production on a feature film to be shot in New Orleans.

Gail Yasunaga has a long career editing independent features and documentaries. Her work has screened in such festivals as Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, The Pan African Film Festival, Berlin, Los Angeles and Taos. The feature documentary, Searching for Debra Winger directed by Rosanna Arquette, debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Changing Our Minds: The Story of Dr. Evelyn Hooker was nominated for an Academy Award. Gail graduated from the UCLA Film School and has taught Advanced Editing for the New Mexico Film Intensive Program in Santa Fe.
